Gran Hotel Mexico’s original building was located down Reforma Norte Street. The business, founded by Sastré Family, was acquired by Bello Family in 1907, remarking Don Felipe Bello Prada and Maria Neira de Bello efforts to promote the establishment and restaurant, evolved by Don Felipe in the 1920’s. Don Felipe Bello became one of the most renowned Chefsduring the first half of the XX century, due to his position as President Francisco I. Madero’s lead cook at Chapultepec Castle.
In 1941, architects Alfredo Olagaray and Luis de la Mora Madaleno built the current property at his unrivalled location in the heart of the city.
The Neocolonial style property was completed in 1948. Afterwards, the structure was enlarged to include new amenities according to the time period: an Art Decó style swimmingpool in the 1950’s followed by the guest parking space in the 1960’s.
Our renowned restaurant is acknowledged in the state of Puebla for his wide offering and traditional cuisine. Love is the main ingredient to create the best Mexican, Spanish and French courses complemented with our everyday menu, a landmark between locals and visitors.

The city of Tehuacán, with a temperature between 24° and 28° C almost the entire year, holds a variety of natural and cultural tourist attractions.
Among the architectural assets, tourists can visit Church and Cultural Complex “El Carmen”, Tehuacan Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Calvario Chapel, San Pedro Apostol Church (Acoquiaco), The Local Cultural House and Tehuacán Valley Museum.
The main natural attractions are Garci-Crespo, Peñafiel, Balseca, El Riego and San Lorenzo Mineral Springs.
Tehuacán is located at the entry of Reserva de la Biósfera Tehuacán – Cuicatlán, over a half a million hectares of Natural conservation area. Inside this area you will find the Guacamayas verdes Sanctuary, Zapotitlán Botanic Garden, San Bernardino Lagoons and San Juan Raya, an area where snailsand other kind of macrofossils are spread out in the landscape.
